At the beginning, my studio work was influenced by two very different life experiences. The first was my study of metal arts at Syracuse University, where I earned my degree. The second was my work as a jewelry designer for Pierre Cardin and Swank in Providence, RI.

I draw my inspiration from nature, deriving the essence of my designs from the random order of the natural world. The starting point might be any of a number of things – a wonderfully unusual stone, a raindrop, a dragonfly. These timeless forms provide the basis of my initial creative concepts, which I then develop into finished works, each reflective of the universal aesthetic that exists in nature.
